Fusionbox is excited to host an upcoming Django Girls programming workshop for women. The workshop will be held at the Fusionbox office on Saturday, October 3rd from 9am-6pm.
Django Girls is a non-profit organization that provides resources for women to plan free programming workshops targeted towards other women. The goal of Django Girls is to give women a comfortable avenue into the world of technology and to increase the diversity of the programming community.
Each one-day workshop walks attendees through building a blog application from scratch, using HTML, CSS, Python and Django. Attendees will work in small groups, guided by experienced Django programmers.
Applications for the workshop are due by September 15th. Fusionbox is also still looking for more female coaches to help lead the workshop, so experienced Django programmers can still participate in the workshop. Fill out an application here.
